Welcome To Water’s Edge
We are open all year round and it’s great to be here ‘out of season’ too – do consider booking in the winter months…
Set in the small, vibrant seaside town of New Quay (West Wales), in the heart of Cardigan Bay, Water’s Edge sleeps 7 people and has stunning views over the sparkling blue waters from almost every room, whilst being only a 3-minute stroll to the blue-flag beach. We’re pet-friendly too so bring your four-legged friends for a holiday.
New Quay – ‘Cei Newydd’, with its picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants clings to the sides of the hills rising above Cardigan Bay on the coast of West Wales.
New Quay is just 35 minutes north of Cardigan, 40 minutes south of Aberystwyth, and is the perfect location to explore the beautiful towns and beaches of Cardigan Bay, coastal walks, and inland scenery; or alternatively spend the time in New Quay where sailing, fishing and water sports are the main activities, or merely lazing away the day building sandcastles and eating ice-cream! Water’s Edge has everything that you would expect in a 4-star property – from toys for the children to a Bluetooth sound system; from crisp white bed-linen to soft, fluffy blankets; fully equipped kitchen from baking tins to a blender and even a Nespresso coffee machine! Parking and gardens are a premium in New Quay, so we’re lucky to have both here!
Children are extremely welcome: there is a travel cot and high-chair available and the garden is fenced for the safety of the children. Dogs are welcome (maximum of 2) and they will have hours of fun frolicking along the beach and in the sea, as well as the coastal path which extends to either end of the Welsh coastline.
Bookings run from Friday to Friday allowing you to book for a whole week and then return refreshed for a whole weekend at home, or merely take a long-weekend (Friday to Monday) or any other number of days within a Fri-Fri week (minimum 3 days) – we aim to be as flexible as possible. On your arrival you can expect a warm welcome with cakes and a bottle of wine beckoning!
Why I chose Water’s Edge in Wales: I used to visit New Quay as a child and fell in love with it again in 2007 when my husband and I stayed there with our two very small children; we thought it the perfect place to holiday, creating years of wonderful memories for us and for the kids. In 2011 we found the ideal house set at the end of a tiny lane, namely Water’s Edge, and after 6 months of extensive refurbishment and renovations we have created a true home-from-home and have been awarded a 4-star rating by VisitWales.
